Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you (“Customer”, “you”) and [LEGAL ENTITY NAME], [registered address], United Kingdom (“SealBind”, “we”, “us”), the operator of the SealBind licensing and activation service available at sealbind.io (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you accept these Terms.
2. The Service
SealBind provides an API and dashboard for issuing software licenses, binding activations to devices, and verifying signed validation tokens. We may change, add, or remove features over time. We aim for high availability but the Service is provided without an uptime guarantee except where a plan explicitly includes a service level commitment.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys, and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate registration details. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
4. Plans, fees, and taxes
Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment processor, Stripe. Unless clearly stated otherwise, advertised consumer prices include applicable taxes; the checkout shows the final amount before purchase. Plan limits (such as the number of products and active licenses) are set out on the pricing page and enforced by the Service. You may upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time; changes take effect at the start of the next billing period unless stated otherwise.
5. Refunds and cancellation
You may cancel a subscription at any time through the customer portal; your plan remains active until the end of the current paid period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Your statutory rights as a consumer, where they apply, are not affected.
6. Acceptable use
You must not use the Service to break the law, infringe others’ rights, transmit malware, attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the Service beyond what is permitted by law, or resell the Service as a competing licensing platform without our written agreement. We may suspend accounts that put the Service or other customers at risk.
7. Your data and content
You retain ownership of the data you submit. You grant us the rights needed to operate the Service on your behalf. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for the lawfulness of the data you process through the Service.
8. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind except those that cannot be excluded by law. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or related to the Service is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these Terms. On termination you may export your data for a reasonable period as described in the Privacy Policy, after which we may delete it.
10. Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified by email or in-app before they take effect. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protections.
